Proscenium Arch Mask, Cambridge Arts Theatre.
Client: Cocksedge Building Contractors
Project: The rennovation of the Cambridge Arts Theatre, Cambridge.
Works: The onsite scanning of the full Proscinium Arch Mask and studio based processing to deliver a the 3D model of the Mask, in varying resolutions and forms, showing full colour surface detail, structural form, both with and without surrounding surface.
The 3D scanning of the theatre’s historic proscenium arch mask, ahead of its removal during works.
Through scanning and then 3D modelling to repair and clean up the data, we have created a lasting record of this historic but fragile form.
The creation of this 3D digital record enables the accurate and repeated recreation of the mask in varying scale and material in the future.
It can also be used as a shareable and easily accessable 3D asset for future planning, design and research projects.
